Skiing is important in the Marches region, too, which has 8 different, very similarly sized ski resorts offering over 70 km of skiable terrain.
Though fairly small by the standards of the big ski areas in other Italian regions, these resorts are by no means less significant.
With the right snowfall, the Marches region's slopes become a perfect training ground for would-be skiers and snowboarders.
